Single loyalty. I saw these words in the latest memo we've got from the `top.' But I thought it was redundant. I believe that loyalty is meant to be rendered ONLY TO ONE company or person. I never heard of loyalty to two bosses. That's absurd.

During our faculty meeting, I heard one of my co-faculty read the handbook: it says, "the faculty should maintain highest level of excellence at all times." Another redundancy there. Is excellence not the highest level one can achieve? Does excellence have levels? So what could be the "highest" and the "lowest" level?

I never meant to be honest to Mike, Jel and Ella. I unintentionally told them that I was disappointed of them. That I felt quite bad when I knew they're seeing another adviser. I couldn't explain how exactly I felt. But words came out of my mouth. I just realized I was confessing in front of them. I felt that they went to the other adviser because they had doubts that I could help them. Of all people, si Myk pa ang mawawalan ng tiwala sa akin. He's the only student I trusted so much. He's one of the reasons why I have ambivalent feelings toward the Graduation day of next year's batch. No doubt, I would be happy and sad to see them march to get their diplomas... If only they knew this...

Today's the last day of MIdterm exam. As usual, proctoring was still a boring task to do. Just staring at the students, waiting for anyone to cheat or to ask questions, makes me so sleepy. I'm used to multi-tasking so proctoring is the most boring thing for me. But, in fairness, proctoring allows me to think about a lot of things. The examiners thought I was guarding them, but what they didn't know was that my mind was wandering.
