This is my second time to see a book which caught my attention on Sir Colle's (a colleauge) table. The book is authored by Dr. Myles Munroe. Its title is THE PRINCIPLES AND POWER OF VISION: KEYS TO ACHIEVING PERSONAL AND CORPORATE DESTINY.
Munroe defines VISION as "a clear conception of something that is not yet a reality, but which can exist."
It's also noteworthy to quote what Munroe mentioned on the Preface of his book: The greatest gift ever given to mankind is not the gift of sight, but the gift of vision.
This book fascinated me because I do believe that we SEE SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN --- YET. And I am a believer of the quote used in a vitamin advertisement that says, "WHAT YOUR MIND CAN CONCEIVE, YOUR BODY CAN ACHIEVE."
I believe in VISION. I believe that nothing happens without a clear vision. I also think that the "visually-impaired" individuals jsut do not know how to set definite goals and do exactly what they need to in order to achieve the goals.
Munroe suggested TWELVE PRINCIPLES FOR FULFILLING PERSONAL VISION:
1. Be directed by a clear vision.
2. Know your potential for fulfilling your vision.
3. Develop a concrete plan for your vision.
4. Possess the passion of vision.
* Passion, says Munroe, means that what you believe is bigger than what you see.
5. Develop the faith of vision.
6. Understand the process of vision.
7. Set the priorities of vision.
* Munroe: Your life is the sum total of the decisions you make every day.
8. Recognize people's influence on vision.
9. Employ the provision of vision.
10. Use persistence in achieving the vision.
* Munroe: Fight until you feel the joy of victory.
11. Be patient in the fulfillment of vision.
12.Stay connected to the source of vision.
* Don't forget to maintain a dynamic personal prayer with the creator-- God the Almighty.
I think I want to spend a night reading this inspirational book -- I will after I compute for the grades which I need to submit by Friday... :-)
