Yesterday, I had a terribly busy day. I didn't even realize I haven't eaten my lunch. All I had the whole day was a sandwich and Sprite which an officer of Historical Society gave me for being one of the judges in the IMPROMPTU SPEECH and ESSAY WRITING CONTEST last week.
I had thesis consultation with 7 groups, an impromptu speech (activity) with my BSN students, a consultation on topics for my Speech students' demo speech, then I had ESL class from 6 till 9 p.m. The only time I had a chance to breathe was when I was on board a tricyle on my way to Villa Theresa where I teach ESL. That was for less than 20 minutes. I literally had no vacant time the whole day. During lunch break I was discussing about HOW CELL PHONES GRATIFY YOUNG PEOPLE'S NEED TO MAINTAIN SOCIAL NETWORKS with my thesis advisees. During coffee break, I was talking about THE FACTORS THAT AFFECT KOREAN STUDENTS' ADJUSTMENT IN A THIRD-CULTURE ENVIRONMENT with another advisee. While doing that, several students came to me to ask about different concerns.
I didn't have a chance to go home during lunch break, even just to kiss my lovely baby. I just had a chance to relax at 10 p.m. when I arrived home from my tutorial class. When I came home last night, my husband opened the door for me and niyakap niya ako (sweet :-) . He asked me if I had lunch. When I said no, he immediately asked me why I didn't eat. I didn't answer him. I just hugged him and closed my eyes and I thought: Thank God the day's over!
After dinner, I just posted important reminders on my COMM. RESEARCH blog then I retired.
